Post-operative bleeding is very rare. Aspirin must be avoided. The main complaint is pain which is similar to but less than having the tonsils removed. Panadeine forte tablets and anaesthetic throat sprays relieve discomfort. Most people can return to work after a week however the wound will take several weeks to heal and the improvement in snoring continues over this time.
